Squash Pro New Caledonia 2017 Results

The Squash Pro New Caledonia 2017 tournament was held 31 July to 5 August and was a great success.

Invited players were Castagnet Mathieu World 24 from France, Olli Tuominen world 46 from Finland, Rex Hedrick world 59 and Josh Larkin world 77 from Australia and Laura Pomportes world 62.  There were also 2 others players from the gold coast, one from Tahiti and the guys from New caledonia. Our best player, Nicolas Massenet ( south pacific champion in 2015 at PNG) finished 5 in the tournament.  This was a good preparation for the oceania cup at Tahiti in september.

There was a great final, Mathieu Castagnet versus Olli Tuominen. Mathieu led 2 games to 0, but Olli made a spectacular come back to win the final 17-15 in the 5^th game. They battled it out for 85 minutes.
