The World Squash Federation, in partnership with the Professional Squash Association, has unveiled a new Olympic inspired awareness campaign called ‘Squash Goes Gold’ - an initiative that we hope will ultimately help towards securing squash’s deserving place on the Olympic Games programme at Paris 2024.
The campaign, which will be activated via social media - @SquashGoesGold on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter - the official campaign website - www.squashgoesgold.com - and of course all of our existing channels is one that we hope will unite the global squash community together in support of our common objective - providing squash players with the opportunity to compete for an Olympic Gold Medal.
The sport has made huge strides during the past twelve months and we hope that this latest initiative will carry on the impressive momentum achieved at the Youth Olympic Games in October and at recent meetings with the Paris 2024 Organising Committee, together with general bid activity led by President Jacques Fontaine in partnership with PSA / WSF teams.
WSF will provide a range of marketing assets shortly that could be used to promote the Squash Goes Gold campaign in your community. For now, we have included a short campaign promotional video (click here) which illustrates the campaign, and our Olympic credentials. This video is also incorporated in the campaign website and will be released via social media.
By working together with all the organisations and federations involved in squash, and by bringing fans and players around the world together, we believe that squash can finally earn its deserved place on the Olympic programme.
